Different Worlds is an international open call, solely aimed at presentations of creative or artistic achievements in the field of contemporary photography.It started as an initiative of Photon – Centre for Contemporary Photography from Ljubljana – to encourage, evaluate and promote young, not-yet-established, and emerging generations of artists and photographers.

The discussion will focus on the phenomenon of postmortem portrait and its multiple social and cultural implications. Participants: ethnologist dr. Janez Bogataj, philosopher and sociologist doc. dr. Mirt Komel, and clinical psychologist prof. dr. Onja Grad. The discussion will be moderated by the curator of the exhibition, Jasna Jernejšek.

The guided tour, conducted by the curator of the exhibition Jasna Jernejšek, will be followed by the screening programme, entitled Let the Dead Sleep. It is a selection from the digital video archive DIVA / SCCA – Ljubljana.
The title of the programme is taken from the Miha Vipotnik’s video,
Photon Gallery will be on holidays between 24 December 2016 and 2 January 2017. On Friday, 23 December the gallery will open only between 12 and 3 pm. The gallery will reopen on Tuesday, 3 January when The Last Gaze. Post Mortem Portrait in Contemporary Photography exhibition will be on display again.
The group show will be open all the way until 20 January 2017.

Exhibition Zipped Worlds will be presented in FUGA in Budapest, Hungary. Opening will be on Thurday 17. November at 6pm and it will be on display till 4. December 2016.
