Nataša Košmerl (1983, Novo mesto, Slovenia) graduated from BA Photography at Faumu in Prague (2006). She later continued her education on a postgraduate level at École cantonale d’art de Lausanne in Switzerland where she completed her master’s in Visual Communication – Photography (2008). She has been exhibiting regularly since 2004 in Slovenia, the Czech Republic and across Europe at solo and group exhibitions. She currently teaches photography at the Higher School of Applied Sciences (VIST) in Ljubljana. Her works are characterized by intimacy, introspection and the questioning of the artist’s own identity. She often depicts poetic landscapes, melancholy interiors, scenes from family life and romantic relationships.
