Goran Bertok’s new project marks an apparent departure from his usual theme of the transience of the human body, but nevertheless remains faithful to addressing the great questions of humanity, especially its finitude. This is not least alluded to by the title “Seven Signs”, which evokes explanations about the end of the world and questions the “eternal values” that have condensed over time in the role and meaning of the visualized symbols.
