At the end of September 2003, the Photon.si web portal was launched with the aim of presenting and promoting photographers from Slovenia and the wider Central and South-Eastern Europe. This was followed in early October by the opening of the first exhibition in the temporary space of Photon at Slovenska Street 6, entitled “Original?”.
In cooperation with the newspaper Delo, a catalogue was published on the occasion of the exhibition as a supplement to the magazine Polet.

Often the question arises authenticity of photographic work. The question of originality and authenticity is complicated by digital prints, which according to certain criteria of quality is no longer lagging behind chemical manufacturing processes. Today we name original each work, which is signed but signature is not a necessary condition of proving its authenticity. Important role in proving the authenticity and provenance have, documented history of its ownership of an item.
