The Tensionfield project gives an overview on the current condition and status of art photography in Central Europe after the developments in the 1980s and 1990s. The majority of the artist here emerged from camera club scenes in early 1980s and therefore their roots spring from local photographic traditions that shaped their sensibility for local socio-political circumstances during the transitional period; however, at the same time, they remain open to trends in world of contemporary photography and art.
