On Thursday, 7 September at 7 pm, we invite you to the opening of the exhibition and to an event celebrating the 20th anniversary of Photon Gallery. We are opening the group exhibition of the 11th edition of the international competition Different Worlds 2023, which will take place in two venues simultaneously, at the Photon Gallery and at Kino Šiška, which is this year’s co-producer of the exhibition. This year’s opening coincides with the 20th anniversary of the Photon Gallery and will be part of a wider celebration of this important milestone.
Photon has been a temple for lovers of photography for 20 years. Our exhibition rituals of light and image worship have been taking place since October 2003 and have been attended by thousands of creatives and viewers. In these 20 years, the Photon Gallery in Ljubljana alone has hosted over 150 exhibitions, not to mention the Photonic Moments Festival, the Vienna Gallery, guest appearances at international festivals, art fairs or partner exhibition venues. 20 years have passed at 300,000 km/s, the speed of light.
