Ben Gyula Fodor
Ben Gyula Fodor (Dorog, Madžarska) escaped from communist Hungary to Vienna, Austria in 1981, where he lives and works to this day. He initially started working as a part-time as cinema-operator, a specialist chemicals worker, as a seaman and later on as an owner of a taxi company and as a newspaper publisher. Since 2000 he has been working as a freelance and an independent artist. In recent years Fodor’s work focuses on the artistic research of past utopias and dystopias, and on questioning new utopian horizons
