Katarina Radović

Katarina Radović (1976, Belgrade, Serbia) studied History of Art at the University of Sussex in Brighton, UK (1996-1998) and also acquired a BA Degree in Photography from the Academy of Arts in Belgrade, Serbia (2006). As a free-lance artist, she participated in several solo and group exhibitions and festivals in Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Austria, the Czech Republic, and other countries across Europe, as well as Egypt, Japan, Senegal, USA. She received the Kultur Kontakt Artist-in-Residence grant in Vienna (2007) and the European Cultural Foundation ECF(2009 ECF) grant for the realization of the project Until Death Do Us Part In her work, she explores identity, (self)-presentation, relationships and communication, as well as cultural differences. She often chooses topics that are personal or contain elements of the local, which she places into a broader socio-anthropological narrative, with irony and humour.
