The exhibited photographs represent modern version of landscape pictures of castles referring to old topographers such as Janez Vajkard Valvasor, M. G. Vischer and C. Reichert. By using the images of castles Farič shows the fullness of scenic symbiosis, urbanistic compliance and timeless charm of the landscapes which are an invaluable source of displaying local identity of the territory nowadays called Slovenia.

Boris Farič, born 1974 in Ptuj, is a official photographer at Regional Museum of Ptuj. The Topographia Sloveniae Modernae series was already exhibited in frames of Slovenia Press Photo 2010 festival, in Gallery VII – NYPH, in DocuCLubu Tel Aviv, while he was listed amongst the best ten photographers at the Portfolio Review of Month of Photography festival in Bratislava in 2010.

The exhibition has been produced in collaboration of Foto klub Kamnik and Photon.
