DIFFERENT WORLDS 2024
12th International open call for young photographers from Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).
The Photon competition for young and emerging artists in the field of contemporary original photography will be held for the 12th time this year. Open to photographers up to 35 years of age (including year of birth 1989) who come from the CEE region (Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, Austria, Poland, Romania) and who are based elsewhere but come from these countries.
The competition encourages artistic photography and works that demonstrates originality and innovation both in their formal approach and in their choice of themes and concepts. There is no set theme. We accept work that falls within a broad spectrum of photographic and photography-related practises. The first prize brings a solo exhibition at Photon Gallery in 2025 with production support.
