A renowned Hungarian contemporary photographer Gabriella Csoszó will present three photo series under the common title Walk – On. The viewer is invited to take a “walk” through the artist’s subjective reflections displayed as multiple interpretations of her dialogues with imaginary interlocutors in various social andpersonalsituations. In such a concept, the form of spatial composition or installation plays an important roleplacing Gabriella’s photographs in a subtle narrative of the exhibition.

Part, initially a hobby ending up as a serious photo diary, is a tempting journey and at the same time an inner monologue with an unnamed partner. Similar to some other series, it originated from ordinary activities, a need for communication and everyday identification, an inquisitive spirit or the desire for being close. At the time of the series’ production, she made long walks every single day; it was a spontaneous, irregularly recurring activity. Her daily walks were part of a game where she and a close friend of hers would navigate each other from a distance and share their experience. As a work of art, it reflects a process – it consists of the preliminary dialogue, the walk, its documentation and finally the exhibition. Thus the series is not merely focused on images or installation but to a large extent also on the text.
