Thursday, 16 October at 5 pm, Guided tour will be conducted by Jasna Jernejšek

You are cordially invited to the guided tour through the exhibition DifferentWorlds, which will begin at 5 pm in Center For Urban Culture (Kino Šiška) and continued at Photon – Centre for Contemporary Photography.

We will talk about the exhibition and particular works, about the significance of the project and about recent tendencies in the field of visual arts and photography.

The group show Different Worlds: Young Contemporary Photography displays works of ten young and emerging Slovenian photographers who have been selected through the open call organised by Photon. The exhibition thus presents their recent works and thereby provides an insight into latest tendencies of local contemporary photography. Young Contemporary Photography is thus an initiative that encourages, evaluates and promotes developments of young, non-yet-established, and emerging generations of artists and photographers, up to 35 years of age. In its second edition the contest titled Different Worlds follows the idea of “creativity and diversity”.

The exhibition will be opened until 24 October!

The jury has chosen Aljaž Celarc, the most successful amongst the selected artist, to be the recipient of the main award of the project, i.e. one-month residency in Bratislava awarded by Photoport Gallery.
