Janez Korošin: People and Landscapes at the Museum of Architecture and Design In Ljubljana

The exhibition will open at the Museum of Architecture and Design, Kapela Gallery, on Thursday, 21 March at 6 pm.

The exhibition accompanies the publication of the book Janez Korošin: People and Landscapes, co-published by MAO and Photon Gallery.

We would like to invite you to the opening of the exhibition on the occasion of the publication of the long-awaited monograph by an important member of the ŠOLT – Ljubljana Photography Group. Korošinov’s approach to photography was already unique within the Ljubljana ŠOLT Photography Group, with its many cohesive technical and thematic approaches, and was distinguished from the others by a completely original artistic expression. He continued to devote himself to a wide variety of motifs in his extensive oeuvre, although his depictions of landscapes are probably the most recognisable in the public eye. In documenting urban life, Korošin used unique artistic approaches and often opted for intriguing visual solutions. His photographs, however, are of high documentary as well as artistic value.
