Branko Lenart has been sending author’s photographic postcards by regular mail since 1976, with which he developed a recognizable and long-standing practice of correspondence art (mail art). He sent the first postcard from Arles, France, and to date, more than a hundred of them have been created. It is a black-and-white analog photograph of 10 × 15 cm format, which is designed as a postcard on the back, with space for the address and a personal message. The author often adds quotes from writers, musicians and other creators, which he connects with the visual motifs of the photographs, thus creating subtle and multi-layered semantic connections. On this occasion, the new monograph LEN/MailART will also be presented with an accompanying text by Dr. Marjeta Ciglenečki.
