Exhibition of the 10th Open Call for Young Photographers

Organised by Photon Gallery, the competition for young and emerging artists in the field of contemporary art photography celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Over the past decade, it has evolved from a national programme to an international competition involving 18 countries in Central and Eastern Europe, with a high number of entries each year. In the second half of next year (2023), Photon Gallery also plans to publish a jubilee publication featuring the selected finalists from all ten editions of the Different Worlds competition.
The group exhibition of the 10th edition of the Different Worlds 2022 will present works by ten selected artists of the open call for young artists (up to 35 years of age) in the field of contemporary art photography from the CEE region. The selection of the artists was in the hands of an international 3-member jury, consisting of Emese Mucsi, curator at the renowned Robert Capa Centre in Budapest, Sabina Salomon, curator at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rijeka, and Metka Zupanič, representative of Photon Gallery.
The first prize, amounts to 1.000€ for the production cost of a solo exhibition at Photon Gallery Vienna in 2023.
