The Eyes of War
3. 9. – 12. 9. 2025
The exhibition The Eyes of War, presents powerful images from Ukraine captured by Polish photojournalists – the largest group of foreign war correspondents in the country.
On the morning of February 24, 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine. This was followed by bombings, rocket attacks, the killing of civilians, rapes, and the abduction of Ukrainian children. Since the beginning of the war, Polish photographers have been on the front lines, in destroyed towns and villages, alongside soldiers and civilians. They document the struggle and suffering of people during the more than one-thousand-day-long defense of their country and freedom.
The authors include Marek M. Berezowski, Wojciech Grzędziński, Agata Grzybowska, Patryk Jaracz, Tomasz Lazar, Maciek Nabrdalik, Jędrzej Nowicki and Maciej Stanik.
The exhibition curator is Ewa Meissner, the author of the texts is Magdalena Rigamonti, and the producer is Jarosław Włodarczyk / Press Club Polska.
The project is a long-term and multi-documentary initiative by the Polish Press Club. The project partner is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
