On Fas
This is another cycle where the author is engaging with the experience of spaces where time stood still ever since the original vibrant community between man and machines disappeared. Unlike the previous series entitled “Places of Silence”, where the author examined inner details of spaces like dusted boilers, turbines, and other technological devises as some kind of internal organs, here the cycle is all about the reflection of the ‘skin’ of these spaces. The facades in their forms and structures reflect the current state. Some have been revived while others have been aged with the time. And since their condition no longer corresponds to the function of work processes, they are waiting for the demolition or the ultimate disappearance and in case of more lucky ones, to become populated again.
