Uršula Berlot, Microscopy of Space, 2025, screen capture
Talk and Screening
Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 7 p.m. at the Photon Gallery.
Visual artist, art theorist and professor Uršula Berlot works artistically and research-wise at the intersections of art, science and philosophy. In her artistic work, she focuses on invisible and immaterial aspects of reality, often using technologically advanced optical research tools (radiology, microscopy) to explore the liminal aspects of perceptual experience. In her experimental and research-oriented artistic practice, she interweaves various media and genres, exploring the forms of mental spaces, the question of simulated nature and the relationships between mind, body and technology in video works, light-kinetic installations or drawings. At the event, she will present a selection of videos and works in other media from her rich oeuvre, in which she uses the reflection of microscopic or optical technologies.
At the Video Evenings with DIVA Station, we host authors included in the archive, who are invited to talk about their work and the background of the creation of individual video projects. The presentation in the gallery (artist talk) is accompanied by projections with comments, followed by a discussion with the audience. The video evenings are curated by DIVA Station expert Vesna Bukovec.
