On Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 5 p.m., with curator Dejan Sluga and artist Stane Jagodič.

The event will be followed by a pre-holiday gathering. You’re cordially are invited!

At the exhibition at the Photon Gallery, Stane Jagodič presents a selection of around 40 socially engaged, politically satirical and counter-photocollages created from the beginning of his career to the present day, with a special emphasis on more recent works that respond to current events. Jagodič, who started with socially critical caricatures in the 1960s, found in photocollage the ideal medium for expressing his humanistic and socially critical views, with which he reveals the irrationality of politicians and warmongers. His works combine philosophical and political reflection with irony, humor and a sense of paradox, and are often permeated with bitterness and cynicism. The titles of the cycles, such as Way to a Bright Future, Quo vadis Homo? or Homo Animalis, testify to his witty and critical use of language, which complements his visual creativity and also establishes him as a writer, editor and columnist.

Exclusive art prints by Stane Jagodič with some of the most famous motifs are also available at the Photon Gallery!

The Photon Gallery will be closed between December 24, 2025 and January 5, 2026.
