Erasmus + program took her to Spain where she won apprenticeship at the LIStLab Publishing and the Blacklist studio. Currently she works at the LIStLab Publishing in Barcelona and is a contributor to the UTY (us/them/yours) online magazine. “I wanted to connect with people and remind them of the painful feelings. I believe that embracing one's sorrow is the only way to heal. We have the power to acknowledge the good and the bad and begin to also accept the darkest traits of our individuality; one needs to grieve. Sorrow is not only related to darkness but light as well. I wish people could feel so strong and alive.” The photograph is printed on archival semi-gloss 290g paper. NEW!Ana Vodušek (1989) studied graphic and media technology in Ljubljana, whereupon she spent several years travelling and living around the world, mainly in Mexico. She draws inspiration from her nomadic life and different environments and atmospheres. She participated in many group exhibitions, both 'live' and online, in Slovenia and abroad. She also does collage art, illustration and handcraft. Her primary form of artistic expression is analog photography because of its spontaneity and imperfection. Vodušek is attracted to motifs that catch the eye; be it for their regularity, banality, asymmetry, color details, contrasts or textures. Nature is at the top of her muse-list. Her photography is an eclectic collection of atmospheres, everyday moments and (un)obvious details. The photograph is printed on archival pearl 290g paper. NEW!Iza Štrumbelj Oblak (1997) is about to complete the study of photography at the higher school of applied sciences VIST. To acquire additional knowledge and broaden her horizons, she took several courses, and participated at several group exhibitions and photography competitions. Despite being her favorite medium of expression, she is not bound to photography. She is interested in the society and its many problems, intricating them with the motif of personal growth. In her earlier work, she tried to figure out beauty and explored the notion of personal identity. She has always been interested in human relations and the personal stories of the people behind the pictures. The photographs on display come from the backstage of her previous project in which she constructed her self-portrait through the materialization of relations, memories, interests and national identity. She wonders what happens if the portrait is stripped off itself, which makes her explore other constituents of personal identity. The photograph is printed on archival matt 290g paper. The entire edition is printed with a white border in the dimension 40 x 50 cm (including the white border). With each print, you will receive a certificate of authenticity. NEW!Mario Karlovčec (1987, Croatia) finished undergraduate studies in computer science. He enrolled in a PhD course of machine learning and social networks analysis in 2015 and worked at the Artificial Intelligence Lab of the Jožef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana. In 2019, he graduated in photography at the Higher School of Applied Sciences, Ljubljana. He was featured in the Analog Magazine, exhibited at the PH21 gallery of contemporary photography in Budapest, Hungary, and held a solo exhibition in the Layer House Gallery in Kranj. “The project investigates the correlation between the persistent process of increasing entropy in nature and human interventions in the environment. It creates tension between order and chaos which is also evident on the surfaces of things around us. If we step back and observe the world on a large-scale timeline, the activities of the humankind become tiny and irrelevant. These photographs were created in the spirit of ephemeral; a new house and an abandoned ruin put side-by-side.” The photograph is printed on archival semi-gloss 290g paper. NEW!Jošt Dolinšek (1997) is a visual artist with a special interest in art photography. In 2020, he graduated in psychology from the University of Ljubljana. He works on long term projects, exploring the visual experience of the environment and his relation to it. He is curious about different approaches to the art of photography, combining it with other media such as sound and installation. His works have been exhibited locally and internationally. With their subtlety, three photographs taken between 2017 and 2019, somewhat summarize the philosophy behind his artwork, which is investigating the visual experience of the environment and the sensibility to being and living. Despite originally parts of different photo series, they indicate the continuity of otherwise project-based creative process. The photograph is printed on archival matt 290g paper. The entire edition is printed with a white border in the dimension 40 x 50 cm (including the white border). With each print, you will receive a certificate of authenticity.
