SALE!The photographic monograph Janez Korošin - People and Landscapes (black and white photographs 1960-2015) by Primož Lampič provides an overview of the work of photographer Janez Korošin. Janez Korošin (1935, Ljubljana) started taking photographs at the age of 17 in the Fotoklub Ravne na Koroškem under the mentorship of František Kamnik. He worked as a chemical technician at the Ravne Ironworks, and after completing his military service he joined the Jože Stefan Institute in Ljubljana, where he met the renowned photographer Marjan Smerket, who introduced him to exhibition photography. He began to work more seriously as a photographer in the mid-1960s. In 1966, he became a member of the Fotoklub Ljubljana and Fotogrupa Šolt, which merged in 1968 to form Fotogrupa Ljubljana Šolt, where some of the most prominent local photographers of the time worked. Later he also became a member of the Slovenian Photographers' Association. He has also received numerous international awards and prizes for his photographic work. In 1977, the Photographic Association of Yugoslavia awarded him the title of Master of Photography, and in 1996, the Photographic Association of Slovenia honoured him with the Janez Puhar Lifetime Achievement in Photography Award. In 2000, he was awarded the title "FIAP Excellency" by the International Photographic Association FIAP. "Because of photography's primary ability to record visible reality as the eye does, realism is always relevant in the medium. It is also the foundation of Korošinov's work. I hardly find any radical interventions in his work. -

In the Gastropoda project artist deals with the “metabolism of images” inspired by the accidental co-authorship of snails, which ate the mail invitations to exhibition openings in Fontcuberta’s home mailbox. It is still possible, however, to discern the shapes of the original images in the selected “metabolised” works. Jošt Dolinšek (1997) is a visual artist primarily interested in art photography. In 2020, he earned a BA in psychology at the University of Ljubljana. He is currently based in Gothenburg, Sweden, where he studies photography at the Academy HDK-Valand. Dolinšek mainly works on long-term projects, exploring the visual experience of the environment and his relation to it. He is interested in various approaches to photographic art, combining it with other media, such as sound and installation. In 2018, he exhibited and published his series In Between under the If Slovenia Were project. Dolinšek was one of the selected artists in the 3rd cycle of PARALLEL Photo Platform. Among others, he has exhibited his works in Robert Capa Center in Budapest, at Photon Gallery in Ljubljana and Vienna, at Voies-off Festival in Arles, Charta Festival in Rome and Landskrona Foto Festival. In 2021, he presented his series To Move the Sun and Earth Away in the Curiosa sector at Paris Photo. This work is part of a photographic folder or portfolio box with twenty prints by renowned Slovenian photographic artists from the 1970s to the present day, published on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Photon Gallery. - The edition is 100 copies, the 40 x 50 cm photographs are printed on archival paper, the prints are signed and accompanied by certificates. -

NEW!Jošt Dolinšek (1997) is a visual artist with a special interest in art photography. In 2020, he graduated in psychology from the University of Ljubljana. He works on long term projects, exploring the visual experience of the environment and his relation to it. He is curious about different approaches to the art of photography, combining it with other media such as sound and installation. His works have been exhibited locally and internationally. With their subtlety, three photographs taken between 2017 and 2019, somewhat summarize the philosophy behind his artwork, which is investigating the visual experience of the environment and the sensibility to being and living. Despite originally parts of different photo series, they indicate the continuity of otherwise project-based creative process. The photograph is printed on archival matt 290g paper. The entire edition is printed with a white border in the dimension 40 x 50 cm (including the white border). With each print, you will receive a certificate of authenticity. Each print (photograph) comes in an edition of 50. -

‘Until Death Do Us Part’ series is the result of two-year photographic project on weddings in Europe, with an accent on cross-cultural couples and certain cultural meanderings, the product of the constant shifts of borders, migrations, globalisation and acculturation. The project represents a visual investigation of the phenomenon of the wedding ceremony and party as one of the crucial anthropological genres, which has for thousands of years played a pivotal role in the ritual life of the human race. In essence, this tradition has remained largely unchanged, despite newly emerging trends and cultural, racial or gender traversing, and in spite of the fact that marriage as an institution is no longer regarded as something so necessarily desirable. Photographs from this series examine the phenomenon of marriage and of wedding ceremony across Europe, often represented as a glamorous pagan ritual paying great attention towards certain fragments of national tradition and folklore of newlyweds and their families. Despite her straight documentary approach and anthropological aims Katarina Radović captures incidental and secondary motifs that often produce metaphysically stressed images with ability to confuse the perception of the seen. Arhiv Kolektiv (2023–) is a multidisciplinary group consisting of (fairly) young artists, designers and a philosopher-sociologist. It consists of Tim Topić, Jernej Strmšek, Rene Ketiš, Lan Rahne, Eva Anzeljc and Ana Rogač. They were founded organically through the production process of their debut ‘Sterilni študent’ (2024, mentored by Assoc. Prof. Peter Koštrun, UL ALUO, and Prof. Dr. Mladen Dolar, UL FF), which was published by UL ALUO in 2024. The release was accompanied by an exhibition and a series of events at the Kamera Kina Šiška Gallery, and later the concept was also adapted for the group study exhibition ‘Curative Connections’ at the City Gallery Nova Gorica (2025, curated by Maša Žekš). The project was well received by both the general and professional public. The published catalogue is part of the previous process exhibition Nine to Five, representing an intermediate step in the broader project Kolektiv Arhiv, which explores the visual and spatial manifestations of industrial and energy infrastructure in Slovenia.
